A grain mill for Soudouwély

During the school year 2005 – 2006 the Virga Jessecollege from Hasselt (Belgium) organised several actions for a grain mill in Soudouwély.

On  January, 20, an action evening was held; the parents were invited to deposit a gift during the fast month,  hunger meals took place on March  9, 16 and, and,  and to close the action, the students prepared a delicious breakfast for the  class mates and for their teachers.

In total, these actions  produced 4 845,27 €.  This money allowed to buy not only a grain mill , but also a balance ànd even the schooling for the !

We would like to congratulate “our” school for this very performant result (Eric and Dany, their brother Kris and sisters Magda, Carmen and Hilde spent together no less than  36 school years in this school) !

The project was worked out and will be followed up by the ngo FODDE.
